Overwhelmed?

Feeling overwhelmed?

Don’t worry I’ve been there before.

So has indy.

When you just feel like the world is on your shoulders.

Here’s some of the things I do / use when I’m feeling like I don’t want to get out of bed.

Lately I’ve been geting notes from the Universe from here. It’s pretty great here’s an example of a note I’ve recently gotten:

“Reality,” Jen, is not that you are weak, and dream of becoming strong. Poor, and dream of becoming rich. Alone, and dream of having friends. But that you’re already strong, rich, and among friends. Yet, at times, dream that you’re not.

Silly,
The Universe

See? Sometimes you need that. And my email comes in around 8 am when I’m just deciding whether or not today is worth getting out of bed. 99% of the time the universe helps get me out of bed.

The next one is for the opposite effect. If you feel that you just have to stay in bed and have a good cry because it’s all a bit much. Then do it! Stay in bed and have a good cry with project good cry. This project is a collection of videos on youtube that people have pushed the “I cried” button (added by project good cry). Long story short it’s a really good place to have a good cry. Which one still makes me cry in public? It’s called Last Minutes with Oden. It’s a powerful story about the love of a dog.

Lastly I’ve been using Girls on the Run as a positive source of happiness in my life. Never heard of GOTR? Here’sthe national website but you can look for a local chapter near you with a quick google search. Here in Charleston Illinois we are lucky to have Girls on the Run East Central Illinois in our backyard / front yard. And I am even luckier to be a Coach for an amazing group of girls.

Girls on the run in a nut shell teaches girls to be themselves. To love being unique and different and amazing with the end lesson / idea being – if you can run a 5k you can do anything. My research and life has shown me that every person has an, “If I can make it through this than I can make it through anything moment” I’d love for my 3rd to 5th grade girls have a 5k as their moment of realization that they are strong, powerful, amazing people that soon in life.

Overall what is your inspiration to get out from under the covers?
